Georges Favre Jacot undertakes the creation of quality pocket watches at Locle, using apprentices that he will train in the profession. To increase its production capacity, it is inspired by the Waltham Watch Compagny by building sufficiently bright buildings in 1865 in order to accommodate all the trades necessary for the creation and assembly of complete mechanisms. He thus controls all his production channel and it was with this idea of ​​genius that he creates the first watch manufacturer. Zenith thus enters the world history of watchmaking. At the beginning of the 20th century the demand for timepieces is strong, it used new modern manufacturing techniques to ensure the need. In addition, the ministries of the armies are very interested in the firm's timing instruments to equip the troops. Zenith designs the concept of interchangeability of components and automation of production. The proposed model is a magnificent waterproof chronograph around 1950. It is a round steel box 35mm in diameter with pumps pump and screwed background. Silver dial with indexes painted Arabic figures, chronograph with two meters.
