In 1791, the Geneva watchmaker Jean-François Bautte signed his first pocket watches. Very quickly, he became the partner of his trainer JD Moulinier who sees the refined, creative and wise man in business.

Following Bautte her son and then grandson take the reindeer of the firm. But in 1897, she changed hands for that of Felipe Hecht, then those of her son Juan Hecht and finally Constant Girard Gallet, a parent and friend. It was during her marriage to Marie Perregaux daughter of a large chronometer manufacturer, that the firm will take its final name: Girard Perregaux.

The proposed model is a very beautiful city watch reference 2599 Vintage 1945 Chronograph of 2000.
