Breitling Navitimer Ref. 806 AOPA

The story of this pioneer is not new. The Breitling Navitimer was created in 1952, it became the most emblematic chronograph of the brand, due to its a calculation rule which mechanically authorizes almost all of the operations necessary for preparation and theft.

It is quickly adopted by the pilots despite dimensions at the very generous time superior to 40mm.

The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) makes it its official watch.

Most of the navitimer from the 1950s to 60s therefore features the acronym of this professional union: two wings which, the circumstance competition, very close to that of the B -winged B to Breitling.

These pieces are highly sought after by collectors.

The star of these models remains the famous 806 equipped with a movement from 178.
