The watchmaking company Tavannes sold millions of watches between 1895 and 1966. Created by Loclois Henri Sandoz, it was made up in SA in 1895 by Schwob families.
The company imports machine tools from the United States and produces large series of parts. Thanks to its rationalization methods modeled on the American model, it becomes the second Swiss watchmaking company.
The proposed model is a chronograph of 1940, a very beautiful copy which does not lack charm.
A surprising 36mm diameter steel box with specific closure of the box bottom per four screws on the handles.
A sumptuous black dial with light Arabic numbers with double scales, a tachymmetrical on the edge of the dial and a snail telemetric on the center.
Two meters with minutes totalizer at 3 a.m. and permanent second hand at 9 a.m.
A magnificent game of light swords in perfect agreement with the dial.
The movement is mechanical with manual reassembly.
This is a very beautiful vintage, an original, elegant and technical model. It is said to be "waterproof" thanks to its background and its pumping pushes.
