The first Rolex submariner with crown protections is 5512, it appeared in 1959, until 1978.
The first models were 2 lines with only the inscription of the depth and the "submariner". This reference is certified chronometer (guarantee of quality and precision bring to the movement responding to very specific characters) unlike the 5513, less expensive.
To differentiate them, the 5512 then adopted 4 -line registrations mentioning "Superlative Chronometer Officialry Certifed".
Before 1966 the dials were lacquered and some models include a small additional line under the scriptures, called "Underline".
The model presented is 1962, it includes all the details which make it a watch of great rarity, are lacquered dial, the 2 lines and the underline
1962 is the last year to offer radium dials, a simple "swiss" at the bottom of the dial.
The quality of this dial is indisputable, an "egg shells" patina, indexes that match perfectly with the needles and the referential ball that is on the telescope. A very homogeneous whole of rare beauty.
The box is made of steel, it measures 40 minutes in diameter, a background and a screwed crown provides it with a seal at 200 meters, the telescope is rotating, it is indexed every 5 minutes up to 60. Movement and caliber 1530, mechanical with automatic reassembly, chronometer certified.
