It was not until 1867 to see the Longines factory still inaugurated in St Limier, a key year since it was at this point that Longines produced its first movement on 20az.
A mechanics immediately rewarded by the Universal Exhibition which took place the same year.
Then all their watches leaving the workshops have the name of Longines underlined by a winged hourglass on their dial.
In 1983 the Swatch Group then called the Swiss microtechnical and watchmaking company bought Longines.
