In 1791 year of foundation of the American capital Washington, the watchmaker Jean François Bautte Geneva signed his first gusset watches. Soon his founder JD Moulinier made him his partner, he appreciates the creative and wise man in a business that cultivates a refined way of life.

After the death of Bautte in 1837 Felipe Hecht transmitted the luxury company with its date of foundation to Constant Girard Gallet a parent and friend. The latter is the heir to a factory founded in 1850 by Constant Girard. Company which owes its name Girard Perregaux to the boss's wedding with Marie Perregaux.

The proposed model is a rare classic and technical watch, an HF Gyromatic chronometer. It is a 35mm diameter steel barrel box. Superb smoky dial with applied stick index. Date per counter at 3am. Straight needles and central second hand. Mechanical movement with automatic reassembly which beats at 36000 A/H with capsule in mild antimagnetic iron.

This beautiful model clearly enriched the Girard Perregaux range for its aesthetics and technical performance.
