Beautiful and rare bracelet watch. Round steel housing 31 mm in diameter. Screwed background. White dial. Index painted in Chinese. Needles leaves. Steel bracelet with loop signed Universal Geneva.
The two creators of Universal Geneva, Numa Emile Descombes and Ulysse Georges Perret, are pure strain locals. January 1894 Our two Loclois friends founded the Universal Watch Manufacture. From their beginnings at Locle, the creation of innovative parts is already at the center of concerns. That same year 1894 the idea was already to file a patent for a watch with 24 hours. Numa Emile Descombes died in 1897, all projects and patents were entrusted to Ulysse Perret and Louis Edouard Berthoud. The model that interests you is rare, mysterious and intriguing. It is a universal Geneva around 1960 extra flat. It is a round steel box 31mm in diameter. A rare white dial with Chinese figures, this export model for Asia is very rare. Steel leaves needles. Mechanical movement with manual reassembly. Chic and elegant, its sobriety is its first asset. This is a perfect example of a vintage to collect watch, an unusual dressed watch with a particular aesthetic that will allow it to join your collection of atypical watches.
