It was in 1894 that Emile Descombes and Ulysse Georges Perret, two locals of pure strain, founded Universal Geneva.
On the death of Emile Descombes in 1897, all models and patents were entrusted to Ulysse Georges Perret and Louis Edouard Berthoud.
Universal Geneva is illustrated in the field of time measurement from the start of the 20ththcentury and offers timepieces worthy of the largest factories.
In 1934 Universal offered the Compur model, a manual mechanical chronograph with two meters.
The one offered is late and was born in 1941. A 38 mm steel box, exceptional for the time. A superb black dial with two counters with minutes totalizer at 3 a.m. and permanent seconds at 9 a.m. Luminescent leaves needles.
This Compur 30 is one of the most beautiful executions of the time.
The movement is mechanical with manual reassembly, with column wheel chronograph system.
This magnificent timepiece dedicated to the pilots, produced by Universal Geneva is at the Firmament of watchmaking.
A real watch to collect.
